Great Yarmouth vehicle ASB activity

Officers were out again last night as part of their ongoing work to tackle vehicle ASB in Great Yarmouth. As well as Marine Parade and South Beach Parade, they also patrolled nearby roads and a few locations in Gorleston.

Along the seafront, the officers:

Arrested one driver on suspicion of drug driving and possession of a class B drug after they failed a road-side drug wipe.

Stopped three drivers regarding lighting offences and playing excessively loud music, issuing verbal warnings.

Give out two breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order for speeding, and two section 59 warnings for other offences.

Saw a passenger travelling with a child in their lap and gave them a ticket.

Engaged with many car enthusiasts and other members of the public who were enjoying their evening peacefully and without issue.

We know there are other locations that are affected by vehicle ASB across the district, lots of them mentioned in the comments of our last post on the topic last week. We endeavour to continue addressing these issues where and when they arise, and work with partner agencies to put measures in place to prevent future offending.
