It's Anti-Social Behaviour Week... |
||
During Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Week, we thought we’d share a snapshot of some of the work our city centre neighbourhood team has recently carried out to tackle this type of behaviour. - We have been conducting regular foot patrols in areas where we tend to see more reports of ASB. During patrols around Riverside Walk last week, Traffic Offence Reports were issued to two people for the anti-social use of mopeds. - We have also carried out plain-clothes patrols in the city centre, including St Benedict's Street and Dereham Road. These resulted in three arrests – one for theft, one for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) and one for recall to prison. Officers also carried out a positive stop search for cannabis. - Following regular patrols in the Haymarket area, seven Section 35 dispersal orders were issued. Three of these later resulted in arrests following breaches. - Partnership working is a key part of neighbourhood policing, and officers have attended a number of meetings with partner agencies to discuss local concerns and identify solutions. - During one shift, the team arrested four people. One man on suspicion of a several shop thefts and a theft of a cycle, one on suspicion of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order, another for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Notice, and one who was a recalled to prison. Anti-social behaviour can take many forms and have a big impact on communities. If you’d like to report an ASB incident to us you can so online via the Norfolk Police website or by calling 101. Always call 999 in an emergency or if a crime is in progress. | ||
